The group was founded in 1986 in Calvert County and is concerned with the preservation of farmland, woodlands and wetlands. The trustís primary interest has been the watersheds of Parkers Creek and Governors Run, but it has assisted others in Calvert County with preserving land through partnerships, land management agreements and environmental easements. Memberships available. Lands managed by the trust are primarily in the area surrounded by Dares Beach Road to the north, Route 4 to the west and Scientists Cliffs Road to the south. The trust manages 15 miles of trails.
Trail hours: dawn to dusk daily. Double Oak Farm is closed during deer hunting season.

One of three public beaches on the Chesapeake Bay in Calvert County. It includes hiking trails, observation platforms, a wetland boardwalk, fishing pier, visitor center with wildlife displays, picnic tables and grills, beach swimming (no lifeguard or nettle nets) with leashed dogs permitted, beach handicapped parking, bird watching and kayaking.
