Byrd Stadium, at the northern end of the campus of the University of Maryland, College Park, is home to the Terrapins' football and men's lacrosse teams. Opened in 1950, the stadium has undergone several renovations, which have added bathrooms, bleachers, a press box and a large upper deck. The stadium seats more than 51,500.

The Comcast Center, opened in 2002, is home to Maryland's championship-winning men's basketball team. It has a seating capacity of 17,950 for basketball and special university and community events. It also is the site of an annual Midnight Madness celebration. The center houses the Maryland athletics administration offices and the Academic Support Center.
