Winter weather closures

Up to 20 inches of snow is expected across the region thru Saturday evening. Most of today's flights have been canceled by the airlines out of Dulles, Reagan National, and BWI. Metrorail will stop above ground service affecting 39 stations at 1 p.m. Buses are operating at reduced service in the District and suburbs. Cars must be moved from snow emergency routes along major streets. District taxi rates are 25 percent above normal rates because of the snow emergency.
