Among those remembering 13-year-old poet Mattie Stepanek on Monday were former President Jimmy Carter and talk show host Oprah Winfrey. Hundreds attended the funeral for the best-selling author and goodwill ambassador for Muscular Distrophy. Mattie died from a rare form of the disease.
