 Airstrikes Kill 44 in Fallujah Friday, Sep. 17, 2004; 8:30 AM
The United States launched new airstrikes on the Sunni insurgent stronghold of Fallujah and nearby villages Friday, and Iraqi officials said 44 people were dead, including women and children.
