 Cherry Blossom Poster Contest Friday, March 16, 2001
"Nature's Beauty Bringing Japan and America Together" was the theme for
the annual Washington, D.C. Mayor's Cherry Blossom Poster Contest. Participants from 15
District schools, along with Dianna Mayhew, Executive Director of the National Cherry Blossom Festival, and the Honorable Hiroyasu Ando from the Embassy of Japan were on hand for the ceremony to honor the winners.
Mayor Williams presented the awards at the Embassy of Japan's
Information and Culture Center.
