 Cherry Blossom Dancers Friday, March 16, 2001
Stemming from the Kabuki tradition, Japanese dance is performed by Erica
Yim, 14, and Olivia Sentelle, 8. Their teacher Kikuyuki Sensei, a
master of the classical Onoe style Japanese dance and make-up, readies
the girls. The event honors the D.C. public school students who
participated in the annual Mayor's Cherry Blossom Poster Contest hosted
by the Embassy of Japan at their Information and Culture Center in D.C.
