Bush Joins Local Mourners

Supporters of Pope John Paul II attended a 5:30 p.m. mass Saturday in Northwest Washington after hearing the news of the 84-year-old pontiff's death earlier that day. Cardinal Theodore McCarrick led the service at the Cathedral of St. Matthew the Apostle, with President Bush and Laura Bush in attendance.
