Muslim Groups Protest War

A group of about 50 people from Washington -area mosques and Muslim organizations participated in an anti-war protest in Freedom Plaza on Friday, April 4.

The event included speeches and prayer sessions that were organized by Muslim Voices for Justice and Peace -- an antiwar coalition that was formed in late March. The group supports the International ANSWER coalition, which is planning a mass demonstration in the District on April 12.
