Pentagon Victims Laid to Rest in Arlington National Ceremony Thursday, September 12, 2002 Relatives and friends paid their respects Thursday at Arlington National Cemetery to the 184 victims of last year's terrorist attack on the Pentagon. The memorial service included remarks by Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld at the marble amphitheater at Fort Myer. A single casket holding the remains of an unknown number of victims was taken to the cemetery and placed near a new five-sided memorial. Although the full honors funeral service was for all 184 victims, there was special consideration for five families whose loved ones’ remains were never recovered. Appearing in the video: Donald Rumsfeld, Secretary of Defense Music at the amphitheater: Navy Band
Lt. Col. James May, U.S. Army Chaplain
Music at the burial site: U.S. Army Band (Pershing's Own)
