 Million Family March Monday, October 16, 2000 Hundreds of married couples clasped hands and repeated their marriage vows in a "Blessing Ceremony" led by Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan on the National Mall Monday. The event was part of the "Million Family March" that attracted tens of thousands of people from all over the United States. Interviews: Newlyweds Erica Parkey, 23, and Jermaine Parkey, 27, from Des Moines, Iowa.
