Senator John McCain Addresses GOP Convention

Touting President Bush's leadership in the war on terror, Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) commended his former rival's "determination to make this world a better, safer, freer place" in the wake of the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. The attack on the World Trade Center and Bush's response was a dominant theme on the first night of the Republican convention in New York.
