About 25,000 people gathered in Tonkin Park in Cronulla, a suburb of Sydney, Monday night to watch the Olympic torch. Folks had a chance to have their pictures taken with a mock torch and showed their Australian pride with waving flags and a partying spirit. Australian marathon runner Susie Maroney carried the torch to a small cauldron on a stage. She was the last of 219 runners on the relay. The torch is one day away from its final destination – Olympic Park.
