Pope's Body Moved to St. Peter's Basilica

The body of John Paul, who died Saturday, was borne on a red velvet litter into the St Peter's Basilica Monday as evening approached in Rome by a procession of many hundreds of church dignitaries. Since Sunday, it had been on view privately in Sala Clementina, a frescoed hall in the Apostolic Palace, the building where the pope lived.
