Tikrit Murals, Loyalty Intact Tuesday, April 15, 2003; 4:22 PM In Saddam Hussein's hometown of Tikrit, the former president's murals are on every street corner and lamp post. Known as the most pro-Saddam town, Tikrit fell to U.S. Marines on Monday. People in Tikrit say they are still loyal to Saddam, though many question his rule privately.
