HOW DO I BEGIN TO PERSONALIZE MY OWN MYWASHINGTONPOST.COM PAGE?
To begin customizing your personal page, you must first create a unique membership account with washingtonpost.com. Membership is free and easy! Simply visit the Registration page by clicking the "REGISTER NOW" link or any of the CUSTOMIZE buttons displayed on mywashingtonpost.com. Once you've registered, you may begin personalizing the content displayed on your page. To customize your page, 1) click the CUSTOMIZE button on each module to select your preferences for that module, and 2) click the "Customize Layout" link located in the center of the yellow bar to add or remove modules, or to move your modules left or right, up or down.

HOW DO I MAKE MYWASHINGTONPOST.COM MY HOME PAGE?
To see your personal-page immediately when you sign on to the Internet, make us your browser's home page. First, go to your mywashingtonpost.com page. Then, follow these steps based on your browser.
For Microsoft Internet Explorer, 1) Go to the "Tools" menu and choose "Internet Options". 2) Click on the "General" tab. 3) Click on the "Use Current" button in the Home Page section. 4) Click "OK".
For Netscape Navigator, 1) Go to the "Edit" menu and choose "Preferences". 2) Select "Navigator" from the Category list on the left. 3) Under "Navigator starts with", select the "Home Page" option. 4) Under "Home Page", type the address http://www.mywashingtonpost.com/ in the location field. 5) Click "OK".
HOW ARE MY PAGE SETTINGS STORED AND MAINTAINED?
All of your personal page selections and preferences are stored in a unique account associated with your Member Name. Every time you access your page, your selections are retrieved and displayed on your browser only. If you customize a module and then later choose to delete this module, your preferences for that module will be saved in the event you decide to redisplay this module. The only way your personal settings can be changed is by signing in using your Member Name and Password. HOW DO I ADD, MOVE, OR REMOVE MODULES FROM MY PAGE?
In order to change the look or content of your page, make sure you're signed-in (look for your Member Name displayed in the yellow bar of the page). Then, click on the "Customize Layout" link located in the center of the yellow bar on your mywashingtonpost.com page. From the Customize Layout page, you may add or remove modules or change the display order by moving your modules up or down, left or right. Alternatively, you may remove a module directly from your personal page by clicking the "X" button on the colored title bar.
CAN I MOVE OR REMOVE THE "HEADLINES" MODULE?
Currently, the Headlines module cannot be moved or removed. Given the nature of our business, we feel it our responsibility to faithfully deliver the top news of the day to the public.
WHY DO SOME MODULES HAVE A MINIMIZE FEATURE, BUT OTHERS DO NOT?
For the initial release of mywashingtonpost.com, only the Entertainment and Stock Portfolio modules have the minimize feature. However, future versions of mywashingtonpost.com will include this minimize feature on all modules. IS THERE A LIMIT TO THE NUMBER OF MODULES I CAN DISPLAY?
No - you may display as many modules as you'd like. However, please keep in mind that the more choices you select, the longer it may take for your page to load in your browser.
HOW FREQUENTLY IS MY PAGE REFRESHED OR UPDATED WITH NEW CONTENT?
Your page is displayed with the most recent content every time you initiate a new mywashingtonpost.com session from your browser. Additionally, each time you initiate a change to your selections, your personal page is rendered with new content. To refresh your mywashingtonpost.com page for an existing browser session, click the yellow "Refresh Content" link in the upper right-hand corner of your personal page.
