A Faulty Surveillance System
Over eight years, contractors installed a high-tech network of cameras and sensors-the Integrated Surveillance and Intelligence System (ISIS)-to help the U.S. Border Patrol spot and track intruders. Now U.S. officials and some contractors are under investigation for poor contract oversight and project overcharges. U.S. officials stopped work on ISIS more than a year ago.
