Pollution Deaths

President Bush, Sen. James M. Jeffords (I-Vt.) and Sen. Thomas R. Carper (D-Del.) have offered competing proposals to reduce pollution from power plants. An analysis commissioned by the environmental group Clean the Air compares current deaths from power plant pollution with projected deaths under the three proposals.
