Getting to the Pentagon Memorial

On Thursday, Sept. 11, starting at 8 a.m., a dedication ceremony will be held. Only invited guests will be allowed to view the park at this time. The Memorial park will officially open to the public at 7 p.m.

Metro Access on Sept. 11 and Beyond
Due to parking constraints, The U.S. Department of Defense urges the public to use Metro to come to the Pentagon and the Pentagon Memorial. The Pentagon Metrorail station will be open on Thursday, Sept. 11.
Visitors can take the Blue and Yellow lines to the Pentagon or Pentagon City metro stops, which are in walking distance from the memorial. The Arlington Cemetery Metro stop, located more than a mile from the memorial, is another option for Metro riders.
On September 11, Metrobus and all other commuter bus routes serving Pentagon Transit Center will be diverted to Pentagon City Metrorail station from 2 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Driving to the Memorial on Sept. 11
Parking is not available at the memorial and guests are encouraged to take the Yellow and Blue Lines of Metro. For a fee, drivers can park at the Fashion Center at Pentagon City Mall or pay for metered parking on the streets of Crystal City and Pentagon City.
Parking for People With Disabilities: There are five parking spaces in the Pentagon South Parking Lot for vehicles for people with disabilities. Vehicles must display a valid disabled parking permit.
For Drivers Starting in D.C.
Take 395 south
Take VA-27/Washington Blvd exit, Exit 8A, towards Carpool Staging Area/Pentagon south Parking on Right
Merge onto South Rotary Rd.
Turn right on South Fern St.
Turn right on Army Navy Dr.
Turn left on South Hayes St.
End at the Pentagon City Mall and Parking on the right or look for metered parking on the street.
Continue on foot for approximately .04 miles
Head north towards Army Navy Dr.
Make a right onto Army Navy Dr.
Turn left at South Fern St.
Pentagon sits in front of Army Navy Dr. and South Fern St.
For Drivers Starting in Maryland
Take I-495 south
Get off at Exit 57B to merge onto I-395 north towards Washington
Take Exit 8C toward US-1 S/Reagan National Airport/Crystal City/Pentagon City
Keep left at the fork, follow signs for National Airport/US-1 S and merge onto South Hayes St.
Turn right at 12th St.
Turn left
End at the Pentagon City Mall and Parking on the right or look for metered parking on the street.
Continue on foot for approximately .04 miles
Head north towards Army Navy Dr.
Make a right onto Army Navy Dr.
Turn left at South Fern St.

For Drivers Starting in Virginia
Take the Capital Beltway/1-495 south towards Richmond
Take Exit 50B to merge onto Arlington Blvd/US-50 east toward Arlington
Take Va-27 east/Washington Blvd exit toward I-395/Pentagon
Merge onto VA-27 S/Washington Blvd.
Take a sharp right at Army Navy Dr.
Turn left toward Army Navy Dr.
Make a U-turn
Turn right at Army Navy Dr.
End at the Pentagon City Mall and Parking on the right or look for metered parking on the street.
Continue on foot for approximately .04 miles
Head north towards Army Navy Dr.
Make a right onto Army Navy Dr.
Turn left at South Fern St.
