|Meet the National Reporters
William Claiborne was based in Los Angeles for more than three years, but is now back in Washington. In his 30-year-long career at The Post, he also has worked as a foreign correspondent in Israel, India, South Africa and Canada and as a national correspondent in New York City and Washington.
Howard Kurtz, media reporter for The Post, has been with the newspaper since 1981. Kurtz was the New York Bureau chief before taking on his current beat. His book "Spin Cycle: Inside the Clinton Propaganda Machine" (Free Press) was published in 1998.
John Schwartz covers science and technology for the National desk. A former Newsweek reporter and a native of Galveston, Tex., John has worked at The Post since 1993.
