Democrats' Diversity Drive Aims For 'A Convention That Looks Like America'

The following are the "diversity goals" set by the Democratic National Committee for delegate selection in each of the state delegations.

Most states reported meeting or exceeding these goals. The group categories are those used by the Democratic National Committee. Party rules require each delegation to have near-equal numbers of men and women.

The goals aim to reflect the population mix of each state and territory. As a result, not every group is reflected in all states' and territories' diversity goals.

The state's total number of delegates is in parentheses.
