» Columnist | Matt Miller is a weekly columnist for The Post's online edition. His column appears on Wednesdays.

He is also co-host and the voice of the political "center" on "Left, Right & Center," public radio's popular political week-in-review program, and a senior fellow at the Center for American Progress. Miller's first book, The Two Percent Solution: Fixing America's Problems In Ways Liberals And Conservatives Can Love (PublicAffairs, 2003) was a Los Angeles Times bestseller. His latest book, The Tyranny Of Dead Ideas: Revolutionary Thinking For A New Age of Prosperity (Times Books, 2009) was recently released in paperback.

Miller served as a senior advisor at the White House Office of Management and Budget from 1993 to 1995. From 1991 to 1992 he was a White House fellow, serving as special assistant to the chairman of the Federal Communications Commission. In his business life, Miller consults to corporations, governments and nonprofits on issues of strategy, policy and communications. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and the Screen Actors Guild (thanks to a cameo appearance in the thriller, The Siege.) 'Secretary of Education Arne Duncan recently appointed Miller to serve on the Equity and Excellence Commission examining questions of school finance and their impact on educational opportunity.
