The Big Picture

A day of protests began Tuesday afternoon with demonstrators targeting several intersections throughout the city in a coordinated “direct action.” In this panoramic photo, protestors locked arms and blocked traffic from proceeding at the corner of 13th and Arch Streets in the downtown business area, across from the new Pennsylvania Convention Center. While the police presence was strong, protestors at this intersection were arrested without incident.
