Iree Bowling is one of the last women in the family who quilts.

"I didn't really start making quilts until me and Bass got married. The Ohio Rose was my first real quilt — took me five years. I'd hunt up the material around the house, using old clothes and old things I could make scraps out of, like dresses and pants and the good parts of clothes that nobody wore. And I've done that all through the years."
