Hamas Takes Gaza

Hamas took control of its full first day of power in Gaza on Friday, June 15, 2007, as crowds looted strongholds of the rival Fatah and Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh rejected a decree by Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas firing him as prime minister.
