 "In Hitler's Germany, I would have been the first to go," says Spitfire, the name she prefers. "I'm Jewish, disabled, radical and bisexual." Spitfire stands 4 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 100 pounds. She took her name from the WWII British fighter plane. "People thought that it was too small to do anything," she says. "But it saved England in World War II in the Battle of Britain. Hitler couldn't invade England because of the Spitfires."  |
