The Clinton Years – 2000
The one distraction that plagued Clinton during most of his presidency – the Paula Jones case and its outcroppings – threatened to hinder his post-White House life as well. Though independent counsel Robert Ray hinted that he might indict Clinton on perjury charges once he left office, the president said he would not seek a pardon from his successor.
