the football players of Anacostia High
School trickle out onto the practice
field for the start of a new season.
For many, the discipline and constancy
provided by the team and its coach,
Willie Stewart, is the most stable thing
in their lives. But that's not what's on
their minds as they grind out play after
sweaty play: They're aiming for the
Turkey Bowl, the city's championship game.
