Sanogo studied photography at the Abidjan Institute of Arts and since 1990 has reported for Agence France-Presse, taking assignments throughout Africa, including Liberia, Congo-DRC and Sierra Leone. He has covered elections, war and political violence, and also major African sporting events, culture and feature stories.
