Reza has been an on-assignment photographer for National Geographic since 1991, covering Egypt, Turkey, the Caucasus, Central Asia, Russia and China. He has worked for Agence France-Presse, Newsweek and Time and has received international awards, including the World Press Photo award and the Hope Prize. He is founder of AINA, a not-for-profit foundation for the promotion of independent media and cultural expression in Afghanistan.
