Since graduating with a photojournalism degree from Syracuse University in 1979, Kashi has worked in more than 60 countries, been published extensively around the world and completed nine stories for National Geographic. His honors include World Press Photo and Pictures of the Year awards. Kashi is currently working on a seven-year project with his wife, writer Julie Winokur, entitled "Years Ahead: Aging in America."
