Rubel Phillips was the Republican nominee for governor of
Mississippi in 1963. In retrospect, perhaps not the best year to have
"K.O. the Kennedys" as a campaign slogan.
Peck
Peck finished third in the 1974 Republican gubernatorial primary in
Wyoming.
Tate
Tate, a former Democratic mayor of Philadelphia, defeated Arlen
Specter for re-election in 1967.
