No More Puzzling It Out

Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2001

Memo From Ken Rudin:
It saddens me to announce that, after more than three years, the ScuttleButton puzzle contest is coming to an end. The same goes for my Political Junkie column. washingtonpost.com, which has been carrying both features since their inception in 1998, has decided to drop them.

It has been a lot of fun producing these puzzles every week over the last three and a half years, and it has been equally fun hearing your groans, gasps, and guffaws. With nearly 25,000 people checking out "ScuttleButton" each week, I hope to revive this feature elsewhere. To get yourself on the official ScuttleButton mailing list, you can reach me at politicaljunkie@erols.com. I will let you know where the contest ultimately appears. For more information, see this week's final "Political Junkie" column, which will go up on Friday, Sept. 7.

Thanks to everyone for your loyalty and support!

Ken Rudin
