Washington Post-ABC News Poll
This Washington Post-ABC News poll was conducted by telephone April 10-13, 2008, among a random national sample of 1,197 adults, including additional interviews with randomly selected African Americans and Catholics, for a total of 213 black respondents and 292 Catholic respondents. The additional interviews (commonly referred to as “oversamples”) were completed to ensure there were enough respondents in these categories for separate analysis. These groups are not overrepresented in the reported results from the full sample.
The overall results have a margin of sampling error of plus or minus three percentage points. Error margins are higher for subgroups. Sampling, data collection and tabulation by TNS of Horsham, Pa.
*= less than 0.5 percent
