The White House Millennium CouncilThe White House Millennium Council is one place where Y2K isn't considered a problem. Among the millennium projects for federal agencies: doubling the number of AmeriCorps volunteers and connecting every classroom to the Internet by the year 2000. (Which, of course, is not really the start of the millenium.) The site also offers information on attending "Millennium Evenings" via community satellite hook-ups. With some 500 days left, the site manages to stay fresh with a new trivia each time you reload the main page. Susan Heavey, August 14, 1998
