FBI: Unusual PhenomenaIs the truth in here? Before heading to the theater, X-Files fans can get a virtual peak into the musty records of some of the FBI's unusual phenomena cases. There's files on UFO sightings, animal mutilation and, of course, that flying disk that may or may not have been recovered near Roswell. Would-be Mulders can find out why the Air Force began Project Blue Book to investigate UFOs and why it was discontinued in 1969. For the sci-fi weary, the FBI also exposes its files on Marilyn Monroe, Bonnie and Clyde, Leon Trotsky and others in its Freedom of Inormation Act-spawned Electronic Reading Room. (Most of the files require the free Acrobat Reader software.) Susan Heavey, June 19, 1998
