Federal Communications Commission
January 30, 1998
Although it was created to oversee the radio industry, the Federal Communications Commission has expanded along with communications technology over the past 70 years, and now handles everything from Internet issues to the implementation of digital television. The FCC Web site provides consumer information on recording telephone conversations, area codes, the V-Chip and children's television programming.
You'll also find an FCC audio broadcast page and a calendar of the commission's public meetings.
