logo Visible Human Project
Definately one of the more bizarre federal sites, the National Institutes of Health's Visible Human Project collects sectional images from cadavers and allows users to navigate through the human body. Universities and other organizations use the images for various endeavors, like the Interactive Knee Project and Visible Human Slice Server, which targets users who prefer a "do-it-yourself" approach.
