The Missing Pet Network, buried deep within the Department of Agriculture's Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service site carries free listings for lost pets, including a photo. Volunteers organize the listings by state and prefer a specific format. "How To Find A Lost Cat Or Dog" offers tips on searching for Spot and keeping your pets safe at home. Don't get your hopes up, though – the site is hard to find and relies on pet finders to go online and search for an owner.
