Florida is by far the biggest and most diverse state to vote so far. For Republicans, the winner will gain a huge boost heading into Feb. 5, when more than 20 states have contests. A loss could cripple the candidacy of Rudolph W. Giuliani, who has spent weeks campaigning here. The Democrats have largely avoided Florida because no delegates are at stake.
