The Massachusetts Special Election

A look at voter trends and influences in the Massachusetts special election for U.S. Senate

This Washington Post-Kaiser-Harvard poll was conducted by conventional and cellular telephone Jan. 20-21, 2010, among a random sample of 880 voters in the Massachusetts special election on Jan. 19; also interviewed were 242 Massachusetts adults who did not participate in the election. The margin of sampling error for the sample of voters is plus or minus four percentage points. It is plus or minus eight points among non-voters. Sampling, data collection and tabulation by SSRS of Media, Pa.
