This Washington Post-ABC News poll was conducted by telephone August 22-25, 2012, among a random national sample of 1,002 adults, including landline and cell phone-only respondents. Results for the full sample have a margin of sampling error of plus or minus four points. The error margin is also four points for the sample of 857 registered voters.
