Billy, did you kiss Monica and make her cry?

No.

But Monica said you did.

She's fibbing.

Kenny was watching.

[Pause.]

I did it, but Monica told me to.

Then why did she cry?

She didn't cry.

Then why is her face stained with tears?

[Pause.]

Okay, I kissed her and she cried.

Tell her you are sorry.

I shouldn't have done it, Monica.

No, tell her you are sorry.

I am sorry you told on me, Monica.

No, tell her you are sorry you kissed her and made her cry.

No.

If you do not tell her you are sorry you kissed her and made her cry, I will call your mother.

[Pause.]

I am sorry I kissed you and made you cry.

Good, Billy. You may take your seat.

[Pause.]

Miss Populi?

Yes, Billy?

Is everything okay now?

Yes.

[Pause.]

Miss Populi?

Yes?

I am sorry I kissed Ruthie tomorrow.
