President Clinton has rearranged his travel schedule to ensure that he will be in Washington on Feb. 12, the day the Senate has a noon deadline to vote on two articles of impeachment against him, the White House said yesterday.

The Clintons had been scheduled to visit Central America Feb. 10-15. Instead, they will travel to Mexico for a meeting with President Ernesto Zedillo on Feb. 15 to discuss "the broad spectrum of U.S. Mexico cooperation," according to a White House news release.

From March 8 to 11, the president and Hillary Rodham Clinton will visit Nicaragua, Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala to participate in a summit of Central American leaders and focus on recovery efforts in the wake of Hurricane Mitch last year.
