Ten largest media sales since 2007
According to the investment banking firm Dealogic, the pending sale of the Washington Post to Amazon.com founder Jeff Bezos is the eighth-largest newspaper publisher sale since 2007. Two sales on Saturday, Aug. 3 didn't make this list: The New York Times Co. sold the Boston Globe to John W. Henry, the owner of the Boston Red Sox, for $70 million; and the International Business Times bought Newsweek for an undisclosed amount. Read related article.
