Former Virginia governor Robert F. McDonnell and his wife, Maureen, are battling a 14-count public corruption indictment that alleges they lent the prestige of the governor's office to a Richmond-area businessman, and in exchange, the businessman lavished them with gifts and money. McDonnell and the businessman, Jonnie R. Williams Sr., have testified about their recollections of various gifts and interactions key to the case.
