Timelapse: A look at where snow has fallen

In the winter of 2009-10, 56 inches of snow fell in the D.C. metropolitan area, much of it during the historic “Snowmageddon.” This winter, Reagan National Airport has recorded no more than two inches.
In the map below, the white areas show land that was completely snow-covered on the dates shown, and the light blue shades show regions in which there was only partial snow cover.
