House, Senate payroll tax cut bills compared

Both houses passed legislation renewing payroll tax cuts and jobless benefits last week. The House passed a one-year plan on a largely party line vote, attaching the cut to other Republican priorities. The Senate approved a two-month extension on a bipartisan vote. The House approved the Senate version Friday.
