David Bluthenthal hit five free throws in the final half-minute as the Tojans moved within in a game of their first Final Four since 1954.  Box score

Using its superior size and an ability to break down the zone defense, the Jayhawks advanced to the round of 16 for the first time in four years. Box score

Arizona overcame a sluggish start with one of its best defensive efforts of the season and became the fourth Pac-10 team to reach the round of 16.  Box score

Quincy Wadley put on an offensive show in the first half as The Owls built a commanding 20-point lead and advanced. Box score

Casey Calvary and Dan Dickau took control, combining for 33 points, as the Bulldogs reached the round of 16 for the third year in a row. Box score

Kevin Braswell scored 15 points for the Hoyas, who kept Tarvis Williams, who hit the game-winner against Iowa State, in check. Box score

Trevor Huffman scored 24 points as the Golden Flashes (24-9) sent Indiana to its second straight first-round loss and fifth in seven years. Box score

The Terrapins used Steve Blake’s late three-pointer and Juan Dixon’s two free throws with 4.9 seconds left to beat the Patriots. Box score

Georgetown 63, Arkansas 61
Georgetown’s Nathaniel Burton hit a driving layup at the buzzer that survived an official’s instant-replay review.  Box score

St. Joseph’s 66, Georgia Tech 62
Marvin O’Connor scored 13 of his 21 points in the second half for St. Joseph’s, the second-smallest school in the tournament.Box score
