You get one point for each winner you pick in the first round; two points for each winner in the second round; four points in the third round. You receive 25 points for picking each team that advances from the fourth round to the Final Four. You receive 50 points for picking each team that advances to the national semifinals, and you receive 100 points for picking the winner of the national championship.

Ties are broken by who is closest to guessing the number of points scored in the title game without going over the final score.
